SUMMARY:Empowering Girls in Olchorro Entonet/Lenkisim Ward: Partnership for Sexual & Reproductive Health Mentorship and Sustainable Menstrual Health Support
DESCRIPTION:Concept Note \nEmpowering Girls in Olchorro Entonet/Lenkisim Ward\n\n Partnership for Sexual & Reproductive Health Mentorship and Sustainable Menstrual Health Support\n \n\nDate: 2 June 2026 \nPrepared by: Kipepeo Pathways in partnership with Entaisere Community Organization (ECO) \n \n1. Background\n\n In a powerful wake-up call on 14 May 2026\, H.E. Governor Joseph Ole Lenku\, EGH\, highlighted disturbing statistics from the Kajiado County Department of Health: over 2\,000 cases of early and unintended pregnancies were recorded in the county between January and March 2026 alone.\n \n\n Compounding this crisis is the widespread challenge of period poverty. Studies across Kenya\, including Kajiado\, show that 39–45% of adolescent girls struggle to access sanitary pads\, adequate water\, and private changing facilities\, leading to school absenteeism\, stigma\, and increased vulnerability to teenage pregnancy.\n \n2. The Opportunity\n\n Kipepeo Pathways and Entaisere Community Organization (ECO) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate on youth empowerment\, SRHR\, and community development in Kajiado County.\n \n\n We now seek to launch a targeted\, high-impact intervention in Entonet Ward\, Loitokitok Sub-County\, to protect and empower girls in two primary schools:\n \n\nOlchorro Comprehensive Primary School\, Olchorro town\nParanai Comprehensive Primary School\, adjacent to Elerai Conservancy\, near Amboseli National Park\n\n\n Both schools are located 6–8 km from Loitokitok Town and serve vulnerable Maasai communities.\n \n3. Proposed Intervention\n\nProject Title: Entonet Girls’ Empowerment & Dignity Initiative \nDate: Thursday\, 9 July 2026 \nFormat: One-day intensive program \n \nObjectives: \n\nProvide age-appropriate sensitization and mentorship on sexual and reproductive health\, self-esteem\, teenage pregnancy prevention\, and personal safety.\nDeliver sustainable menstrual health solutions\, including reusable and disposable sanitary pads\, tissue\, soap\, and education.\nBuild confidence and life skills among girls to reduce school dropout and early pregnancies.\n\n\n Local volunteers from Kipepeo Pathways and ECO will facilitate interactive sessions at both schools. The program will combine mentorship talks\, practical demonstrations\, and distribution of dignity kits.\n \n4. Resource Needs\n\n Due to current resource constraints\, we are seeking support from well-wishers\, champions of the girl child\, corporates\, and individuals in Kenya and internationally.\n \nIn-kind contributions requested: \n\nSanitary towels/pads\, both disposable and reusable\nTissue papers and soap\nTransport for volunteers\nPrinting of educational pamphlets and training materials\n\n5. Expected Impact\n\n\n 200+ Girls\n Direct reach across two schools.\n \n\n Immediate Support\n Dignity\, health\, and menstrual hygiene support.\n \n\n Long-Term Change\n Reduced teenage pregnancies and school absenteeism through mentorship.\n \n \n6. Call to Action\n\n Your support will directly protect the future of girls in one of Kenya’s most vulnerable counties. Every kit and every volunteer trip counts.\n \n\n We invite you to partner with us as a Champion for the Girl Child.\n \nSupport This Initiative\n \n \n Become a Champion for the Girl Child\n \n\n Every contribution helps provide dignity kits\, menstrual health supplies\,\n mentorship materials\, volunteer transport\, and educational resources for vulnerable girls in Kajiado County.\n \n\n PayBill: 522533\n Account: 8115252\n \n\nContacts\n\n\nJustus Ndege Ohuru\n\n Founder & CEO\n Kipepeo Pathways\n \n\n +254 717 999 677\n justus@kipepeopathways.com\n www.kipepeopathways.com\n \nTravel. Volunteer. Transform. \n \n\nLosioki Somoire\n\n Co-Founder & Resource Mobilization Director\n Entaisere Community Organization\n \n\n losiokisomoire17@gmail.com\n entaisereorg.netlify.app\n \nEmpowering Communities for Sustainable Change \n \n \n\n Together\, we can turn statistics into stories of hope.
